Mark Hand

Originally from Boston, Mark relocated to Charleston during Covid to have more personal freedoms and to create a better life for his family. He and his wife Katelyn love the wonderful year-round weather, spending time outdoors with their 3 young children exploring the beauty and charm of historic Charleston. They also appreciate being part of a community that embraces this active lifestyle. Having moved his whole family, Mark has the unique perspective to help others who are also considering a relocation to Charleston. He lived through this transition and knows the questions and concerns that many will have when considering a similar move.

The youngest of seven children, Mark grew up on a small farm in Sherborn - a rural town just West of Boston. He graduated from the University of Vermont in 1997, and eventually founded and built a successful real estate team in Boston that still operates today, helping buyers and sellers find their place.

Initially trained as a real estate appraiser over 20 years ago, Mark has vast experience representing luxury clientele with property valuation and pricing, as well as high-level marketing and sales. Mark has also partnered and consulted with several developers and builders on various projects. His knowledge of the entire sales process makes him an excellent advocate and experienced advisor to his clients. Throughout his career, Mark has sold hundreds of millions of dollars worth of real estate and received numerous accolades from various real estate organizations but what he is most proud of is the praise and referrals he’s gotten from past clients. He knows that a strong business is built one client at a time, and he’s very grateful for everyone who has supported him along the way.

Mark’s approach is simple: always put the client first, over all else.

He is fiercely loyal to his clients, and serves them with honesty and integrity. Mark and his family are grateful to have made Charleston their home, and he loves helping clients new and old discover why this part of the world is so special. In his spare time, Mark loves playing golf and tennis, is an avid car enthusiast and loves to sing.
